Clean dilli drive

The school had adopted the Aanchal plaza complex for a month and ythe students along with the students conducted a clean drive along with the students and the art of Living representative
we spread awareness on the need for keeping our vicinity clean and thus attract more customers and use of jute bags.
the students have donated dustbins,convinced the Fab India authorities to donate dustbins and the matter was also taken up by the Chief Minister of Delhi and has promised to do then needful,posters ,poems and a petition has also been signed.
Apart from this the students have also spread the awareness in school by taking the pledge signing petitions and spreading awareness in their respective areas.the school has also arranged for dustbins near the ice cream vendors.

Clean Delhi drive

DPS Vasant Kunj has adopted the Aanchal Plaza shopping complex and are commited to keeping it clean and green and so we are making the shopkeepers aware of the need to keep the vicinity clean and inturn become more eco friendly.The drive was started on 13th August2010.

Climate edu xchange prog by TERI

Climate edu xchange prog by TERI was organised on 28th July at the TERI office Vasant Kunj .It was a teachers orientation workshop regarding how various school could be interlinked by web and how can internet be used as a medium to sensitize children about the environment and how can we avoid the misuse of the same.It was attended by Ms Adita Saxena and Ms Ritika Arora

Environment Week

Environment week was organised by the CEEC in July on ocassion of the Environment Week to make students aware of the fact that environment needs to be preserved and taken care of as Mahatama Gandhi has rightly said "we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children"
AS seriesof events were organised for the same
1 An eco fashion show was organised to show that inspite of bieng trendy one can still save the environment by using eco friendly material like jute cotton and paperclasses xth participated with full zeal aqnd enthusiasm.
2Treasure hunt was organised for class VII so that they could identify the different trees in the school
3Spin a Yarn competition was organised for classes 8th in which children spun the yarn of their wonderful ideas.
4 Mr Sunny Verma director of SWECHHA addressed the students of classes 9th /10th regarding the waste disposal in Delhi and how our wants are someone elses need .It was an enriching experience.
5 The students of classes 9th and 10th also talked to the students of classes1 and 2 regarding the small measures that would make difference to our environment and preserve it .
